Who came up with grey print on the black remote???? It's impossible to use it at night - even in bright light it is so difficult to make out the icons to operate the ipod from a far. A more simple remote with less buttons would have been so much better. Volume, skip forward/back / mute / on-off would be all that's needed. By far the nicest all-around sound I've heard for a table-top MP3 player. Nice, well-rounded base with no distortion at my normal range of play (and I do play it loud for some music - did notice some minimal distortion near max, but could've been the MP3 quality that was lacking), and nice highs as well. No complaints about the mid-ranges, either. Exceptionally well-designed and high quality product. Remote is minimal but it works fine across a room, and does what I want it to. Absolutely no complaints about anything with this unit. I highly recommend the portable version, which also comes with a power cord, but is much more versatile.
